Clara Bullock / International Business Intern
Clara Bullock has joined Kisserup as an International Business Intern and brings her experience in development research in agriculture and entrepreneurship. During her university studies she has specialized in small business development, gender inclusivity, supply chain facilitation, and agriculture.
Clara completed her undergraduate studies in 2020 in International Food Business at Dalhousie University and Aeres University of Applied Sciences, being awarded degrees in both Agriculture and Business Administration. Since then, she has studied International Development Studies at Dalhousie University and worked as a Sexual Violence Student Liaison.
While completing her undergraduate studies, Clara sought opportunities to work within international development to put her agriculture and international business skills to good use. Before her internship at Kisserup, Clara worked in various capacities in Ethiopia and Uganda on development project funded by the Global Affairs Canada and the World Bank. She also interned at a multi-national agriculture firm and worked within agriculture supply chains to build transparency within international markets.
From her experience, Clara has discovered a passion for women’s empowerment through business development, networking, and extension learning. She wishes to continue to make an impact in this area. Therefore, she will be attending the European University Institute in Florence, Italy in Fall 2021 to pursue her graduate studies. She will major in Transnational Governance and hopes to continue to use her education and experience to help women be successful in their aspiring ventures.
