The Nova Scotia Association of Community Business Development Corporations (NSACBDCs) and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) hosted a delegation of incoming food and beverage buyers from Colombia and Panama as they travelled to Canada to attend SIAL in Toronto in May 2023. Kisserup International Trade Roots Inc. was contracted to set up and facilitate the full B2B portion and all logistics for the incoming mission.
The intention of this incoming buyers mission was to facilitate business-to-business (B2B) meetings and tours with export-ready companies from Atlantic Canada, further strengthening linkages created during the 2023 in-market mission to Central America, also lead by the NSACBDCs and ACOA, where Kisserup was the contracted matchmaker and logistics coordinator.
Exporters from all four Atlantic Canadian provinces were included within the B2B portion of the mission.
The Kisserup team further supported the organization of a hybrid Free Trade Agreement presentation by the Trade Commissioners representing Colombia and Panama. 2023 is the 12th anniversary of the Canada-Colombia Free Trade Agreement and the 10th anniversary of the Canada-Panama Free Trade Agreement. The information session hosted included the Atlantic Canada’s entrepreneurial ecosystem (private and public sector).
