CETA: How to Find a Business Partner in Canada

With over 40 billion euros of exports per year, Canada is a major market for European goods. On 11 June 2020, the CETA Market Access Programme hosted a webinar, designed and facilitated by Kisserup, geared towards supporting EU business access into the Canadian market under the framework of CETA, enhancing free trade between the EU and Canada since its recent provisional implementation. The webinar included:
  • An introduction to Canada’s economy at the federal and provincial levels
  • An overview of Canadian business culture and the importance of Canadian immigration policies and its impact on trade
  • Bilateral and multilateral Chambers of Commerce
  • Examples of existing EU-Canada relationships
  • A step-by-step process on how to find business partners in Canada

Project outcomes included 265 webinar attendees, 158 of which were EU based SMEs. 99% of webinar attendees found the content useful.
