Design and Formulation of an EU CRM Project in Canada

Year(s): 2023
Client: CESO International
Origin of funding: European Union
Sector(s): Critical raw materials
Country(s): Canada, European Union
Picture
Kisserup was contracted by CESO CI International as a follow up on a study on Critical Raw Materials on six key Critical Raw Materials (CRM) (Magnesium, Nickel, Graphite, Lithium, REE, and Cobalt) for EC DG GROW.
Following from the results of the previous CRM study, the EU is aiming at supporting a self-standing project to support all three pillars of the EU-Canada Strategic Partnership on Raw Materials:  1) the integration of Canada-EU raw material value chains; 2) science, technology, and innovation collaboration; and 3) environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria and standards. Consequently, the objective of the current project was to engage with the recommendations of the previous CRM study and build on them to design and create an actionable project on CRM.
