Kisserup was contracted to act as technical experts in the deployment of a TA to build the capacity in relation to the government procurement chapter of the Canada-Colombia FTA to trade support organizations (TSOs) and private sector SMEs, particularly those led by women, indigenous or other under-represented groups in Colombia.
The TA included a needs assessment evaluation to support the development of the capacity-building program on government procurement, provisions of the Canada-Colombia Free Trade Agreement, Government of Canada procurement framework, electronic tendering systems, and processes. Gender equality and social inclusions (GESI) considerations in trade and government procurement, as well as environmental factors such as Green Procurement and Canada’s approach to green procurement in government procurement were included in the development and facilitation of the capacity-building program.
