The aim of this mission was to facilitate trade opportunities between the Province of Nova Scotia, Canada and renewable energy partners attending WindEurope Offshore 2019. WindEurope Offshore 2019 took place November 26-28, 2019 and saw 9,000 wind industry professionals from around the world gather at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark.
In conjunction with WindEurope Offshore 2019, the Province of Nova Scotia and the Canadian Embassy in Denmark hosted round-table event bringing together key wind industry stakeholders to view a presentation on Nova Scotia’s Port of Sheet Harbour. The Port of Sheet Harbour is a deep-water port terminal located along the Atlantic Seaboard of Canada, Sheet Harbour and uniquely positioned with excellent access to all major highway systems in Nova Scotia, reaching all major industrial centers.
Kisserup worked with the project partners and the Canadian Embassy in Denmark to arrange Roundtables and an industry Reception as the instrumental networking pillar during the event. The Canadian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, Ms. Emi Furuya, and the Danish Ambassador to Canada, Ms. Hanne Eskjær, both attended and welcomed the attendees at the roundtable and reception. The event was facilitated by Ms. Nancy Phillips, Halifax Partnership VP Investment, Trade and International Partnership, and Mr. Michael Willmont, Senior Trade Commissioner Canadian Embassy, with presentations by Nova Scotia Business Inc, (NSBI) and the Ocean Technology Council of Nova Scotia.
