Kisserup International Trade Roots Inc. was contracted, through a tendering process, to coordinate the matchmaking for the multi-sector business-to-business Virtual Trade Mission (VTM) for a group of women-owned/led businesses from Nova Scotia to Boston, Massachusetts. Kisserup's tasks included the research of qualified leads, business matchmaking, and mentoring for the ten (10) delegates for the multi-sectoral mission, in addition to supporting the organization of delegate networking sessions within the mission programming. Each company represented had a minimum of six meetings held virtually in alignment with their immediate and long-term desired outcomes within the New England region, totaling 60 business-to-business meetings setup per year. Furthermore, a minimum of ten (hours) of mentorship support was given to each delegate.
The 2021-22 mission included the creation and maintenance of a virtual mission portal, which can be accessed here. This portal included a description of the project and organizers, the delegates profile and their capability statements, and a section exclusive for the participants with all the material developed during the mission.
During these virtual trade missions, strong linkages were developed for the women-owned businesses in the Boston market despite COVID-19 travel restrictions and samples were sent to market for the potential of future sales.
